I was reminded today of something I wrote about in the past and decided that it was time to repeat it, changed to mirror changes in me of course. "Network Marketing programs are a lot like best friends: Everyone has a best friend, Not everyone is your best friend." Kathleen Cooley I think that in all the hype and sharing we are exposed to today about network marketing, the one thing we seem to forget is as simple as the statement I made at the beginning of this note and I believe it so strongly I am going to repeat it. "Network Marketing programs are a lot like best friends: Everyone has a best friend, Not everyone is your best friend." There are plenty of great opportunities out there and they all offer the opportunity to make an extra income. They all proclaim the songs of "we are the best" and "happy to help you." But how can they all sing these songs? Certainly someone is lying! Or are they? There are many reasons that people don't succeed in network marketing but I am only going to discuss one today: Best Opportunity and Best Friends The simplest reason of all: It just isn't a good fit.How do you know if its a good fit? 1. Does it make you excited when you talk about it? Example: Do you believe in the products/services and just go on and on till they are rolling their eyes? 2. Can you talk about it in casual conversation, without sounding forced? Example: Does it sound like your talking about your best friend or like your being flogged with a whip 3. Do you have the desire, the time and the vision to see you as a success with it? This last one is self explanatory And finally: 4. Do they offer training in a manner that you can relate too? This last one is a huge key that most people miss. If You are a hands on, walk me step by step learner: Then a grand meeting every week full of: Fluff = Forever, Lifting, Up, Famous, Friends. Where all you hear is great testimonies of success with occasional tidbits of learning, is not for you. This type of program demands you learn from their website, on your own. You need a program that will offer you step by step instructions with a person SHOWING you how to do it. Written scripts for those who prefer to read, videos and Live training where you can follow along as they work the business are really the only type of program that will bring you success. Best Opportunity and Best Friends Now that you know how to determine your best friend, in your best opportunity: Go sort through what you have and ask yourself is this my Best Opportunity and Best Friend? Go here for a 12 series Free Training on Social Media Mastery http://marketingsurvivalskills.net/kathleen I am so excited to be able to post this note on behalf of my friend Vadim. He has been a great inspiration to me and I consider it an honor to be able to write this note for him.By now I am sure you are asking "Well, who is Vadim Dambreville and why is this important?" Vadim Dambreville These are some very good questions and the following is the answer. Vadim Dambreville is a member of the Marketing Survival Skills Team that I belong too, and one of the newest members I might add. He just successfully completed the last December challenge for all team members in Marketing Survival Skills. He also was the first to complete it with 4 days to spare!! The greatest part though is Vadim is so new to network marketing that Marketing Survival Skills is his very first program and He beat out the Pros at accomplishing our challenge!! So what was the challenge? Glad you asked About the middle of December, Mike Hobbs, our fearless leader, gave us 15 days to complete the following tasks. 1. Write and post in several locations 9 facebook notes that provided value to those reading it. 2. Create 3 facebook events that invited others to participate in something. He chose to do his on our Marketing Survival Skills free training that gives great value to all who attend it every Thursday night. 3. Connect with and convert from new contacts to new relationships 200 people on facebook. This is quite a challenge for anyone. 4. Create a welcome video to send to new connections on facebook or anywhere for that matter. There were a few criteria that had to be met, like no promoting and tell something that lets people get to know you. Vadim not only met this challenge but he found time to encourage the rest of us and even spent a lot of time helping newer members to resolve issues and giving ideas for meeting the challenge. He was a tremendous encouragement to me and very patient in helping me to understand how to connect to new people in the proper manner and how to move them to new relationships. And just for you naysayers that might be reading this, we did this without spamming, or using any other method of frowned upon behavior. The key here was making new relationships NOT converting to business partners. Vadim used only the methods and knowledge taught in our training to accomplish all his goals and even had someone sign up as a result of diligence. He is truly an example to be followed and a force to be reckoned with and I for one am glad I am on his side working towards the same goals! Thanks Vadim for everything you do! I was more like Curious George or Dennis the Menace myself, there always was something good and something bad going on in my life. Until one day When I noticed a man, that I knew to be a fairly "up" person, had a really serious and painful health condition. Yet I couldn't remember ever hearing him say anything about it.
Well this got my attention. I began looking around and I noticing that people used phrases like "My feet are killing me" and "You know that kind of lifestyle isn't for people like us" (meaning the lower class, living a higher class lifestyle) like they were facts that they should just accept. I also noticed the ones who seemed happiest appeared to be so by choice. They had every reason to complain and be unhappy but they chose not to. They didn't ignore the negative, they just simply chose to focuson the positive. Well I knew about "the power of positive thinking", "the have faith and believe" from the bible and had heard all the "laws of attraction" talk going around, but it just didn't "click." Then one day the key jumped out and grabbed me and it changed and is still changing my life: " ITS NOT ABOUT THE GOOD OR THE BAD, WE ALL HAVE THOSE THINGS, ITS ABOUT WHERE YOUR FOCUS IS." I started to do all the usual "positive thinking" stuff to change Where my focus was. BUT what really helped the most was something a dear friend tried for many years to show me: Simply make a decision to emphasize in my daily talk, all the good things that happened in my life. If someone asks you about something negative, "yea that is there, BUT did you know...." By doing this you put the emphasis and focus on the positive. Its been two years now and I don't just "see the light at the end of the tunnel" I can feel its warmth. And my answer to where is my focus? I do believe: "Yes anything is possible to them that believe." is my new cliche and I am singing Annie's song "Tomorrow" all the time. How about you? Where is your focus today? Helping Change Your World One Step at a Time Kathleen Cooley Click here to Come join me on Facebook & share your ideas One thing I have come to realize in my life is that an occasional lean Christmas is better. In fact the Christmases I remember the most in my life are the ones where money was not bountiful.
I remember things like laughing as we played games or watched a funny movie. Laughing as my daughter wrestled her brother to the floor, one more time, just to make him declare that Girls Rule! Although I secretly suspect that last time, he let her win. I remember the joy of opening a gift that wasn't very expensive but was the greatest gift you got because you knew the sacrifices made to give it to you. It is with this in mind that I gave myself the gift of a lean Christmas this year. Sure I would have loved spending time with loved ones, opening and giving gifts is awesome too! Lights and Christmas decorations are my favorite tangible things about Christmas. This year however, I decided that for me, less was best and I was right. My gifts this year were far greater than I could have imagined. This is a list of a few things I received: The gift of Hope: Hope for tomorrow and promise for the future. This allows me to be able to stand in the midst of the battle. To find joy in the simple things and to dream of the future. Hope gives me reason to take action today to make things better for tomorrow. The promise gift: The promise of the future found in the knowledge of what Jesus came to do for me and for all of mankind. To show me the way to go, both here in this life and in the eternal life yet to come. This promise fills me with joy. Joy that carries me through the trials and struggles of life. The final gift I wish to mention:This gift is perhaps the most important and that is the gift of love. This gift came when Jesus was born, even though I did not exist in this world yet and it was so strong it has been carried on all the way till now. So that today I would know I was loved and that is the greatest gift of all. This gift manifested itself in many ways. From the wonderful chat with someone very dear to my heart to phone calls with loved ones. The snow on the ground, a symbol of purity covering that which is not. To the reminder of Christ's love for me, a love so strong that he chose to shed His perfect blood to cover my not so perfect self. Sure I learned how to set up Netflix and watched movies all day, parades on my internet tv, I rejoiced with others and sang Christmas songs. Jesus didn't have to come as a baby to tell me what to do. He could have done that as the omni-present Holy Creator. Jesus chose to come here as a babe, wrapped in swaddling clothes, laid in a manager. He chose this so He could live life as we do, experience what we do and see what we see. Then He used it to shine the light on the way. Yes, it was a great Christmas to go lean. Kathleen Cooley Teaching others to use the internet to promote....well... ANYTHING REALLY! in simple, easy to follow instruction & video with Live help and NOW You can get paid to do it too! http://bit.ly/eb2vJI I just love this time of year with its Beautiful lights and lovely decorations, bringing smiles of delight to the young and old alike. Wonderful picturesque scenes of snow on the ground with trees that sparkle like diamonds in its wake. More importantly though are the changes in the human race as a whole. Everywhere, in Every country, city or remote countryside people are celebrating something. Smiling, laughing and singing, putting aside their differences in the spirit of the season. The holiday season brings a time of many celebrations too. The main one in my life is Christmas, the day we set aside to celebrate the birth of the babe Jesus, fulfilling scripture and the hope of new life, eternal that it brings. Many others celebrate the wonderful miracles of hope that Jesus brought but in different ways with different understanding. Still others celebrate the spirit of giving and love. Then of course you have the New Year. It may fall on different days but the whole world celebrates it at one time or another. It is with this understanding that I say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. It allows me to keep Christ in the center of my reason and to respectfully acknowledge the God Given Right of Free Choice that everyone is entitled to. One last thing to remember: To Catch a humming bird you need honeysuckle, To teach a student you must first gain their respect. To share God's love for all mankind. you must be willing to show it. Jesus never forced someone to accept Him, why are we trying to do it? Let's start today and declare your love for Jesus, celebrating His birth by respecting the right of choice in others and turn the tide of dissension that has caused so much tension and say: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! |
